The challenge

Many components, long training, inconsistent checks

The Dietrich controller is a complex product with numerous components and precise assembly steps. With traditional methods, Brandt faced prolonged training times, frequent errors and inconsistent quality control.

Together these issues limited production efficiency. Quality depended on individual judgment, and new operators needed constant supervision before they could work independently.

The solution

Real-time guidance and validation of manual operations

Brandt integrated Arkite into the assembly process. The workstation combines an Arkite 3D sensor, a projector and an industrial PC. AR projections guide operators through each step, and the 3D sensor validates that every step is executed correctly before the next one starts.

The system automatically detects compliance and non-compliance. Quality control no longer depends on subjective human judgment, and operators no longer need constant supervision.

  • Projected instructions for each assembly step
  • 3D validation of correct execution
  • Automatic detection of compliance and non-compliance
  • Ergonomic workstation designed with a certified partner

Implementation

From assembly diagrams to a validated process

  1. 01

    Workstation setup

Brandt and Clé de 13 developed a custom workstation optimized for ergonomics and integrated with Arkite.

  2. 02

    Process configuration

Brandt provided the Dietrich controller assembly diagrams, which were used to create detailed digital work instructions.

  3. 03

    Quality control integration

Projections guide each step while the 3D sensor validates correct execution.

  4. 04

    Continuous improvement

Arkite after-sales support enables ongoing refinements as production needs evolve.

Results

What Groupe Brandt achieved

01

Training time halved

New operators are brought up to speed faster, which supports a more flexible workforce.

02

Fewer assembly errors

Real-time validation reduced assembly errors, with higher product reliability and less rework.

03

Smoother workflows

Operators work with less cognitive load and faster assembly times.

Next step

Based on these results, Brandt plans to extend Arkite to other assembly processes.
